Annual Report
A) Jack Victor is a company with corporate offices and manufacturing facilities situated in Montreal. Jack Victor has 1,010 employees based in Montreal, and another 15 full time and part time employees who work in the states of New York, California, Washington and Florida. Founded in 1913, the company is in its 113th year.
Jack Victor's Montreal factory manufactures fine men's tailored clothing (suits, sportcoats, blazers, trousers, and formalwear) using fabric, linings and components from Europe and the Far East. The company also imports tailored clothing and related categories (such as sportswear and outerwear) that are manufactured in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. All products are wholesaled to department stores and independent men's clothing stores throughout the United States and Canada. Jack Victor also sells products directly to North American consumers through its two e-commerce websites, which are operated by a wholly-owned subsidiary Jack Victor Direct Sales Inc.
B) Jack Victor's workforce includes 850 unionized employees who enjoy wages and benefits agreed upon during freely held labour negotiations (Union des Employes et Employees de Service, Local 800). Overtime is optional and is reimbursed at time-and-a-half. Canadian and Quebec labor laws and the factory's union representation are strong factors in assuring that the company's Canadian operations are free of any forced labour or unlawful child labour practices.
All unionized and non-unionized employees must submit proof of age in the form of a government health card, passport, or other government-issued document which provides a photograph, full name, and date of birth. Copies of such documents are kept on file. Except for part-time positions, the minimum age of employment is 18 years of age, and no person subject to compulsory school attendance is employed, in accordance with provincial and federal law.
C) In 2024, Jack Victor set up a Social Responsibility Committee to initiate the verification process to ensure that there is NO Child and Forced Labour in our Supply Chain. In 2025, the committee continued the verification process.
Verification Process 2025
Step 1 We prepared a supplier listing based on 2025 purchases.
Step 2 We assigned a Risk Ranking to all our suppliers on the listing based on their country of incorporation and their countries of operations. The risk ranking was based on the following criteria:
| Risk Ranking | Operations |
|---|---|
| 1 | Canada and USA |
| 2 | Europe |
| 3 | Canada, USA and European companies with Asia operations |
| 4 | Asia suppliers with Asia Operations |
Step 3 We chose to review the highest volume suppliers that were not previously verified in the 2024 report. There were 34 new, additional suppliers verified in Fiscal 2025. In Fiscal 2024, there were 40 suppliers verified, and as such there have been 74 suppliers verified over these 2 years.
Step 4 The verification procedure started with an on-line search to verify if the suppliers have any search history on the topics of Child and Forced Labour.
Step 5 We verified the supplier's website and reviewed their Social Responsibility Statements pertaining to Child and Forced Labour.
Step 6 If the supplier did not have a website with a Social Responsibility Policy or Social Responsibility statements, we contacted the suppliers to confirm their policies concerning Child & Forced Labour. We have requested and obtained a signed Social Responsibility Statement from them on Child and Forced Labour.
D) For the reporting year fiscal 2025, our verification of 34 suppliers represented 31% of our 2025 total dollar purchases. These 34 suppliers had not been previously included in the 2024 report. In fiscal 2024, our previous verification of 40 other suppliers represented 79% of our 2024 purchases. Between the suppliers verified for 2024 and the additional new suppliers verified in 2025, we have verified the practices of suppliers who represent 92% of our 2025 purchases (in dollars).
E) There were no instances of Child or Forced Labour found in our Supply Chain verification and therefore there were no measures taken to remediate instances of forced labour or child labour.
F) Equally, as no instances of forced labour or child labour were found, it was unnecessary to remediate any loss of income to any affected parties.
F) For the reporting year fiscal 2025, the Jack Victor Social Responsibility Committee continued to provide its employees with training on forced labour and child labour. The Employees who purchase goods and services in our supply chain were made aware of the laws concerning forced and child labour and are now required to ensure that any of our present and new suppliers do not use forced or child labour. New suppliers are required to confirm and sign our Social Responsibility Policy that specifically states that they do not use forced or child labour.
G) Jack Victor will continue the verification process each year to ensure that there are no Forced or Child Labour used in its business and supply chains.
